ATP Rankings: No postponements due to the ATP Finals
It would have taken some special circumstances that there would have been changes in the places behind Novak Djokovic . These did not occur.

The biggest surprise of the tennis year 2020 in terms of the rankings is and remains Roger Federer: The Swiss player has delivered a full six games this year, five of them won, so there is of course no way around Federer closing the tennis season at position five on the ATP charts . No, the great master himself will certainly find this a little absurd, but will certainly be happy to take the friendly placement at the Australian Open 2021 with him.
Since his two match wins in Vienna it was already known that Novak Djokovic would winter at the top of the world, only Rafael Nadal's second place was still up for grabs. Dominic Thiem could possibly have achieved this with a march, it was known to be different. So Thiem remains number three, a little more than 700 points behind Nadal. And a little less than 700 points ahead of London winner Daniil Medvedev .
Five Germans and two Austrians in the top 100
This is followed by Stefanos Tsitsipas , who is still allowed to carry his 1,300 points from the 2019 ATP Finals (the Greek only got 200 points this year). Alexander Zverev ends the year in sixth place. And speaking of Tsitsipas: Interestingly, the US Open, actually a compulsory tournament, is not counted for him. But the 250 points for the tournament success in Estoril. 2019, mind you.
From a German point of view, four other players managed to go into the winter break with a double-digit ranking: Jan-Lennard Struff (36), Dominik Koepfer (66), Philipp Kohlschreiber (97) and Yannick Hanfmann (98).
Dennis Novak is the only Austrian besides Dominic Thiem in the top 100 in 96th place.
