After the success in Paris-Bercy, Holger Rune is in the top 10 in the world rankings

A small whirlwind swept through the ATP rankings on Monday: the ATP Masters 1000 tournament winner in Paris-Bercy, Holger Rune, made the biggest jump at the top of the world rankings. The only 19-year-old Dane catapulted himself up eight places with his first triumph at the highest ATP tournament level and is now in tenth place - but only a ridiculous six points ahead of Hubert Hurkacz from Poland.

On the other hand, there was a quasi-historic descent for the German number one Alexander Zverev. The 25-year-old, who has not played a professional match since injuring his ankle at the French Open in early June, has lost six ranking positions and finds himself twelfth in the men's rankings. Zverev had been in the top 10 for more than five years, and was included in the elite circle for the first time on July 31, 2017.

Altmaier climbs up, Thiem out of the top 100

The first two positions remain occupied by the two Spaniards Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal, but behind them there is a new number three in Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas - after all, he is 330 points ahead of number four Casper Ruud. Daniil Medvedev had to accept a severe loss of points and is now only fifth, almost 1000 points behind the man in front of him from Norway.

Behind them, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Andrey Rublev each improved by two places to sixth and seventh - Novak Djokovic falls back to eighth. Taylor Fritz, who can take part in the ATP Finals in Turin due to Alcaraz's cancellation due to injury, moves up to ninth place despite losing points, improving by two places.

The second best German remains Oscar Otte, who is currently in 59th position. Daniel Altmaier improved to 80th place thanks to the Challenger triumph in Ecuador. Dominic Thiem remains the best-placed Austrian, who has already left the top 100 and is currently in 102nd place. Jurij Rodionov climbed nine positions to 121st after participating in the semi-finals at the Challenger in Bergamo.

Here is the complete men's world rankings.
