Kevin Krawietz and Horia Tecau in Rotterdam

Kevin Krawietz is known to have to do without regular partner Andreas Mies for several months after his knee operation. The joint appearances with the Romanian veteran Horia Tecau in Rotterdam were also impressive. Already in round one they won against Marcelo Melo and Tecau's long-time playmate Jean-Julien Rojer, then against the two Russians Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev. In the semifinals, Krawietz / Tecau then prevailed against Henri Kontinen and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the match tie-break.

In the final, however, Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic were the final destination. The two Croatians, who have only played together since the beginning of this season, already won their third title of the 2021 season with 7: 6 (7) and 6: 2.
