What a cast for a 500 event! Stefanos Tsitsipas, just a finalist at the Australian Open, leads the tableau. And has to face Emil Ruusuvuori from Finland in round one. It could get really crisp after that. Because then there is a risk of a meeting with Jannik Sinner, against whom Tsitsipas had to fight over five sentences in Melbourne. Sinner opens against Benjamin Bonzi.
Alexander Zverev starts as number eight and initially has to deal with a qualifier. Which could also be the case in round two. Unless local hero Tallon Griekspoor is waiting. Zverev's potential quarter-final opponent is Holger Rune, who in turn would have to face Marc-Andrea Huesler in round two. This week in Montpellier, Rune won against the Swiss, but the previous two matches went to Huesler.
