When the last forehand from Stefanos Tsitsipas sailed sideways, Felix Auger-Aliassime first touched his forehead, looked at his box and sank to his knees. After the handshake, the relief turned to pure joy: "FAA" cheered loudly and jumped into the air - the spell, it was broken. /

Auger-Aliassime not only defeated his opponent, but also his "final curse": He has already been in eight finals at ATP level, losing them all in two sets - but against high-class competition. So now the first victory - of probably a few more for the 21-year-old, who climbed into his box for a quick video call with his father before the award ceremony - a great scene.

No chance for Tsitsipas

The final in Rotterdam was a clear affair. The Canadian managed a break right at the beginning of the match, which he transported; in the second set as well, and another one to 4:1, the preliminary decision.

Tsitsipas didn't have a single break chance in the entire match, "FAA" managed 20 winners with only 8 mistakes without need - strong!
