First of all: Only players who had at least 50 victories on the ATP tour after play resumed in September 2020 were recorded. And of course those players are at the top of this list who also hold the top positions in the world rankings. In summary, this statistic has an absolute must-follow on Twitter: @AnnaK_4ever :
- Andrey Rublev achieved the most match wins with 97, followed by Daniil Medvedev with 96 and Alexander Zverev with 92. However: Only Medvedev was able to convert these successes into a championship in the four majors, last late summer at the US Open.
- When it comes to the success rate, Novak Djokovic has the edge. The Serbian industry leader won 86.0 percent of its matches. And incidentally won three titles at the Grand Slam tournaments (each in 2021 at the Australian Open, in Roland Garros and in Wimbledon).
- But the direct comparisons among the best are also interesting: Djokovic (17:7) and Medvedev (20:8) have an excellent record against top ten opponents. Things are very different with Casper Ruud (4:12) or Jannik Sinner (5:11). It looks disastrous for Matteo Berrettini: since playing resumed after the pandemic, he has won exactly one match against an opponent from the top ten: namely against Dominic Thiem at the ATP Cup 2021.
- And what about Carlos Alcaraz? He has not yet accumulated 50 wins, but only 44. And with a win rate of 69.8 percent, he is just under the 70 mark.
