Cristian Garin on Saturday in Santiago

Cristian Garin has won four tournaments in the past two years, all of them on ashes, two of them last year in South America: in Cordoba and in Rio de Janeiro. This Sunday, a very special title for the 24-year-old Chilean could be added: the one in his home country. Garin continued his triumph at the ATP Tour 250 event in Santiago in the semifinals, winning against Daniel Elahi Galan 6: 4 and 6: 3.

Just a few days ago in Buenos Aires, Diego Schwartzman showed how much a home win can mean to a player.

In the final in Santiago, local hero Garin will face Facundo Bagnis, who was able to assert himself 7: 5 and 6: 3 in the purely Argentinian duel against Federico Delbonis.
