ATP Shanghai: Murray continues, Fognini and Monfils true chance of London
Andy Murray made it through a difficult first round at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai. Fabio Fognini and Gael Monfils got off to a good start in their hunt for ATP points.

Murray had to play against Juan Ignacio Londero, who recently had a strong performance at the US Open against Novak Djokovic. And also in the first set against Andy Murray, the Argentine dominated thanks to his strong forehand and with amazing defensive shots that Murray is actually more familiar with.
This in turn increased enormously in the further course of the match, made a strong impact as in the most recent tournaments and secured the move into the second round after a playing time of 2:17 hours with a 2: 6, 6: 2 and 6: 3 ,
Murray has won the title three times at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai, with Fabio Fognini waiting for the next match on Tuesday. The Italian, who urgently needs points for a first possible participation in the ATP final in London, won against Sam Querrey with 6: 4 and 6: 2.
Gael Monfils also wants to start again in the O2 Arena. The French struggled very hard against Lorenzo Sonego before moving on to round two after 7-5, 6: 7 (1) and 6: 3 after 2:33 hours of play. There Monfils gets to do with Hubert Hurkacz from Poland.
