Stefanos Tsitsipas can celebrate his tenth tournament win tomorrow

Stefanos Tsitsipas' commitment to start in Stockholm this year came as late as it was surprising. But the late start could pay off for the Greek: Because tomorrow, Sunday, Tsitsipas is about the tenth title of his career, his third this year. It's against Holger Rune, with whom the 24-year-old from Athens still has a score to settle. Because in the only meeting between the two so far, Rune had the upper hand in four sets in the round of 16 of the French Open.

Tsitsipas wrote for the first time as a tournament winner four years ago - in Stockholm. At that time he defeated Ernests Gulbis in the final, before that he had been successful in the semifinals against Fabio Fognini. With 6: 3 and 6: 2. Four years later, Stefanos Tsitsipas sailed into the final with almost the same result: he beat Emil Ruusuvuori 6-2 and 6-2.

In the first match of the semifinals, Rune held his own in three sets against Alex de Minaur in the afternoon. For the Dane, Stockholm is about the second tournament victory of his young career.
