Djokovic won the final against Croatian Marin Cilic 6: 3, 6: 4.

While Cilic only had four break chances against himself all week, he found himself under pressure on his own service almost throughout against Djokovic. The "Djoker", on the other hand, hardly had any problems getting through his service games; only in the second set did he have to fend off a break chance. In the end there was the 19th victory in the 21st meeting with Cilic.

Impressively, Djokovic scored 32 points out of 36 when the first serve came, an 89 percent success rate!

Cilic had also won against Dominic Thiem during the tournament.

Djokovic to the title without losing a set

Djokovic didn't drop a set all week and ended up celebrating his third tour title in 2022. He had previously won the tournaments in Rome and Wimbledon. However, Djokovic only played to a limited extent this year - because he did not have a corona vaccination, he was not allowed to play the Australian Open and the US Open due to entry regulations.

Djokovic is therefore only listed in 7th place in the ranking.
