Casper Ruud hasn't been very successful on his mini-tour in Asia

First Davis Cup in Lillehammer, at home in Norway, then a detour to the Roger Federer farewell party at the O2 Arena in London, and immediately off to East Asia to serve at the two hard court events of Seoul and Tokyo - Casper Ruud, already a frequent player on the ATP tour, rushed around the world at the beginning of the tennis autumn.

At least the Norwegian has not entered any of the five upcoming ATP World Tour 250 tournaments in the next two weeks. Because this break is more than necessary for the 23-year-old from Oslo, as he himself says after the defeats in the first round and the first round in Korea and Japan.

"My body lets me feel it now"

At the Tokyo press conference after the 3: 6, 3: 6 defeat by the Spaniard Jaume Munar, the second in the world rankings had to admit self-critically: "Today I couldn't find the level that I needed. I couldn't move my feet and not playing properly. If I want to play well, I have to move well and that wasn't the case today (note: Tuesday, local time)."

"I probably made a mistake planning these events in Asia. I just play too many tournaments. I pushed myself a little too hard and chained too many tournaments together. My body is letting me feel it now. But I also hope learn from that experience."

Here the single tableau from Tokyo.
