The comeback of the ATP tour is now taking shape: On Wednesday, the umbrella organization published a calendar for the next few weeks. And that stipulates that the return to professional tennis should take place at the ATP Tour 500 tournament in Washington. Starting on August 14th.

A week later, the ATP Masters 1000 tournament will be held in Cincinnati - but at the National Tennis Center in New York City. Where on August 31, the US Open is scheduled to take place (even if without fans).

Kitzbühel in the second week of the US Open

There is, however, a special treat for European fans, especially those in Austria: the only ATP Tour 250 tournament that is noted in the ATP's new calendar is the Generali Open, which, with the games of the main field on the 8th September should start. In which cast is still unclear. The ATP only notes that top ten players can only start in Kitzbühel if they also played at the US Open (and left there very early).

After the Generali Open things are moving fast: First the Masters 1000 event will be rescheduled in Madrid, a week later that in Rome. And on September 27, 2020, the French Open is coming up. The exciting question will be whether fans will also be admitted to the European tournaments. In Kitzbühel at least you can hope for it.
