If there were to be a Grand Slam tournament this week, Ugo Humbert could for the first time be among the illustrious circle of the set. With his final victory in Antwerp, the French left-hander was already 32nd in the current ATP world rankings, and his defeated final opponent, Alex de Minaur, improved a few positions to 25th.

Of course, nothing has changed at the top of the world, of the ten best-placed players only Alexander Zverev was in action. He was able to improve in points with his second Cologne win in a row, but still remains in seventh place with a respectable margin of almost 900 points on Daniil Medvedev. The Russian is playing in Vienna this week, Zverev is suspended.

Novak Djokovic, currently also active in Vienna, is the undisputed leader. The Serb needs two more match wins to finish the year as the best in his class for the sixth time.
