Carlos Alcaraz has now left Stefanos Tsitsipas behind. The final defeat at Umag's ATP 250 event, which the youngster had to take against Jannik Sinner, shouldn't change that. The Spaniard is already fourth in the ATP charts, only Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev and Rafael Nadal are ahead of the 19-year-old.

Novak Djokovic was also able to make up a place this week - without playing, mind you. The Serb pushes ahead of Casper Ruud, who lost points for the triumph at the ATP 250 event in Kitzbühel. Novak Djokovic is the new number six ahead of Casper Ruud, with Andrey Rublev, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Jannik Sinner lurking behind (all within 200 points).

Misolic new number one in Austria

A new career high within the top 40 was achieved this week by Lorenzo Musetti, Sebastian Baez and Maxime Cressy (places 30 to 32). Oscar Otte - currently injured - ranks 41st and is therefore still Germany's number two in the ranking. Andy Murray is still in 50th place in the ATP world rankings this week. Daniel Altmaier (79th place) is the third and last German in the top 100.

After reaching the final at the ATP 250 event in Kitzbühel, Filip Misolic is up 68 places, the man from Graz not only achieved a new career high with 137th place, Misolic is also the new number one in Austria . Number two, Jurij Rodionov, is five places behind in 143rd place. Dennis Novak, number three in the country, is ranked in 155th place.

Thiem jumps forward, there is a risk of a relapse

Dominic Thiem is also going back up, who is again among the top 180 players in the ranking with his quarter-finals in Kitzbühel. The Austrian made up 27 places and is the new number 172 in the world. A snapshot, for the Lower Austrian the ranking will go down again next week. Then Thiem drops 90 points for his performance at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Montreal.

The former world number three, who did not enter any tournaments this week, will probably leave the top 200 of the ATP charts again. Next week, Thiem is expected to be around 230th place. The next scheduled appearance of the US Open winner from 2020 is at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Cincinnati.
