Reilly Opelka made a mighty leap forward in the ATP charts

Of course, Novak Djokovic is still in the lead. The man who has already lifted three major trophies this year. The first pursuer is still the Russian Daniil Medvedev, who was able to cement this position with his triumph in Toronto. The 25-year-old is 1500 points behind the Serb, and Medvedev has a comfortable cushion of 2300 points for third-placed Stefanos Tsitsipas.

There is no change at all in the top 10 in this update, Roger Federer and Denis Shapovalov still hold the two ejection seats. Casper Ruud and Hubert Hurkacz have moved closer here, both overtaking Pablo Carreno Busta and now occupying positions eleven and twelve. In addition, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Roberto Bautista Agut swapped places in the top 20.

Duckworth and Opelka improve Personal Best

The surprise finalist from Toronto, the US-American Reilly Opelka, has made a first big leap forward. This improved by nine places to a new personal best of 23. The biggest improvement in the top 100 for men, however, is due to James Duckworth, who made up 16 places and is now 69th - also a new personal best.

Outside of the top 100, one man in particular caused a stir: 18-year-old Holger Rune won the title at the top-ranked Challenger in San Marino and thus improved to 162nd place in the ATP ranking. Another personal best.

Last week, however, had a clearer impact in the Race to Turin, where Daniil Medvedev made up three places and is now in third place. As of today, Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Matteo Berrettini, Andrey Rublev, Alexander Zverev, Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud would have qualified for the season finale. Dominic Thiem, on the other hand, is currently only in 44th place.
