In the final, the duo in position eleven won 6: 4, 6: 2 against the Australians Max Purcell / Luke Saville. The two local heroes had only entered the main field with a wildcard.

It is Ram and Salisbury's first Grand Slam title. They received prize money of 760,000 Australian dollars (463,000 euros), the losers still share $ 380,000 (231,500).

The German success double Kevin Krawietz / Andreas Mies (Coburg / Cologne) had already failed in the first round. The number three French Open winners and US semi-finalists from 2019 lost to the Kazakhs Alexander Bublik / Mikhail Kukushkin in two sets.
