Dodig / Polasek beat defending champions Rajeev Ram / Joe Salisbury 6: 3, 6: 4 in the final. They didn't have to fend off a breakball from their opponents.

Nice for Polasek: Just two days ago he became a father again, and his young daughter is now getting to know a Grand Slam champ straight away - not bad.

"I don't see what we should have done differently. You were just too good," praised Ram.

For Polasek it was the first Grand Slam title ever, two years ago he had actually ended his career because of back and leg problems.

Elise Mertens / Aryna Sabalenka won the women's title, while Barbora Krejicikova and Rajeev Ram were victorious in the mixed category.

The men's final in the singles between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev starts at 9.30 a.m. ( here in the live ticker!).
