First Gael Monfils announced his good news on Saturday morning , followed a few hours later by Daniil Medvedev. "Welcome to the world, baby girl," he posted on Instagram. The name of his daughter: apparently still a secret.
In terms of time, he was even ahead of Monfils, he dated the date of birth as October 14th. (i.e. yesterday).
When it comes to the view, nobody should fool him: a clinic in Nice with a view of the sea is of course a matter for the boss.
"Welcome to the Papa Club," wrote colleague Karen Khachanov under the post, and Andreas Seppi, Holger Rune, Radu Albot and French DJ Bob Sinclair were among the well-wishers.
Medvedev is married to his wife Daria Medvedeva, who is always a welcome guest in his box.
Medvedev next plans to start a tournament at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna (from October 24).
