The Asia tour takes off on September 30th, when the events in Tokyo and Beijing begin at the same time. Particular attention should be paid to the ATP 500 tournament in the Japanese capital. Finally Novak Djokovic announced his comeback with a start in Tokyo. Defending champion in Tokyo would be US Open finalist Daniil Medvedev, who gave local hero Kei Nishikori no chance a year ago. However, Medvedev had originally called for Beijing, but canceled at the last minute and will only start again in Shanghai.
