Djokovic remains unvaccinated as he sticks to his principles and beliefs. The Serb has made it clear he is willing to skip tournaments that require players to be fully vaccinated. “I don't know what's going to happen but the best thing for tennis is that he's playing. He is one of the top 3 with Nadal and Federer. He has to take part in the important tournaments and play them. He still has a lot of good tennis to offer and he's going to win a lot. I hope they make the right decision," Borg told Spanish newspaper Marca.

Borg hopes Djokovic will be at the Laver Cup

Borg, who has always captained Team Europe since the Laver Cup was launched, would love to see Djokovic, Nadal and Federer play there together. Djokovic has not been at this event so far. “Of course it is my wish to bring together the three best in tennis history. It would be something incredible, but I don't know if it's going to happen," Borg said. Federer and Nadal have confirmed their participation in this year's Laver Cup - and want to play doubles. "Seeing you play doubles again will be unforgettable. I'm proud to be part of the Laver Cup and captain of the European team." Federer is also looking forward to this year's Laver Cup: "Rafa is an incredible person and an inspiration to me and countless others around the world."
