The brothers Bob and Mike Bryan have ended their careers. This was announced by the most successful tennis doubles in history. "We both feel this is the right time," said Mike Bryan, the twins' senior by two minutes.

"At that age, it takes so much work to go out there and compete. We love to still play, but we don't love to prepare our bodies to go out there," added Mike Bryan: "The Recovery is more difficult. We feel like we were competitive this year, last year, the year before. "

The 42-year-old twins from the USA won all four Grand Slam tournaments, all nine ATP Masters, triumphed four times at the ATP Finals and won the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. For the first time the two reached number one in the double world rankings on September 8, 2003, they stood together at the top for 438 weeks and ended ten seasons first in the world rankings.

The Bryan brothers hold the record for most tournaments won (119) as well as most Grand Slam (16) and ATP Masters titles (39).
