Dayana Yastremska with an appeal against doping ban at CAS
Dayana Yastremska failed before the CAS International Sports Court with the appeal against her temporary suspension after a positive doping test. The CAS announced this on Wednesday. The number 29 in the world rankings remains excluded from the game for the time being.

In the 20-year-old Ukrainian, traces of a prohibited anabolic substance were detected in a doping test on November 24, 2020. The suspension took effect on January 7th.
Jastremska has won three WTA tournaments so far, 2018 in Hong Kong and 2019 in Hua Hin and Strasbourg. Her highest placement in the WTA ranking was position 21 on January 20, 2020. Her best Grand Slam result was the last sixteen in Wimbledon in 2019.
Yastremska has announced that it will reimburse Tennis Australia for flight and accommodation costs in the Melbourne Bubble.
