Domestic violence: Nikoloz Basilashvili on trial
Nikoloz Basilashvili, currently number 27 in the ATP world rankings, has to face trial for alleged physical violence against his ex-wife. This was announced by the prosecutor's office in the capital, Tbilisi.

According to this, the 27th in the world rankings was accused of "exercising violence against a family member in the presence of a minor". If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison.
Bassilashvili's ex-wife told Mtavari on Sunday that the suspect "physically assaulted" her in the presence of her five-year-old son on Friday. The 28-year-old who denies the allegations was subsequently arrested. He was released for a deposit of 27,500 euros.
