Best friends forever: Dennis Novak and Dominic Thiem

In the meantime, a regular cast is forming in Christopher Kas' Instagram live chats in our account: Lucas Miedler and Dennis Novak are always at the start, Julian Knowle likes to drop by as well as Kevin Krawietz. Oliver Marach also uses the morning hours in Panama to inquire about the well-being of his former and current colleagues. On Thursday evening Andreas Haider-Maurer, Rudi Molleker and Dirk Hordorf also gave the honor. Molleker is considered the greatest German hope after Alexander Zverev, Hordorff acts as Vice President in the DTB. Haider-Maurer, on the other hand, entered the coaching business after a short career due to injury, and now heads his tennis academy in Schwaz near Innsbruck.

The focus was on Thursday, however, Dennis Novak and Dominic Thiem. Novak first had to hear that Haider-Maurer will continue to be an opponent on the Playstation that he cannot conquer. Then Molleker tried to get tips from Novak about how he would not give a 4-1 lead in the third set in their next match. Of course, Novak liked to remember the game in question in Heilbronn 2019.

Becker and Seppi on Friday

But then Dominic Thiem came on the scene, first said a few words to his English-speaking friends - and then, based on Ka's question about the length of the tennis break, had the evening's answer ready: "I can live longer without tennis than without Dennis". What brought the Austrian number one from his best buddy on the tour and a real rain of hearts in the comments.
