Dominka Cibulkova announces pregnancy
Dominka Cibulkova has already taken the next step after her retirement.

The Slovak announced on Tuesday namely that she expects her first child. On her Instagram profile, she wrote: "More than blessed and full of joy, we want to announce that our family will soon consist of three members." Next to her, she posted a photo with husband Michal Navara and an ultrasound photograph.
The former world ranking fourth had just barely a month ago announced her retirement .
"With mixed feelings, I have to tell you some special news today: What started with an Achilles tendon injury has become one of the hardest moments of my life - what to do with my tennis career." In the end I decided that as a player I no longer will return to the court, "Cibulkova had also announced via Instagram. Her last match had been played at the French Open, but lost there in round one against Aryna Sabalenka
Recently, the 30-year-old had presented her autobiography, "Tennis is my life", so the (translated) title of the work, which has so far only appeared in Slovak.
Cibulkova: A model and a snoop
The only 1.60 meter tall Cibulkova was known on the court especially for their nimble legs and their intensity. In 2009, she celebrated one of her career highlights in Paris when she entered the final, including a 6-0, 6-2 win over Maria Sharapova. At the Australian Open 2014, it was even to the final, in which she defeated Li Na.
In 2016, she won the WTA Finals in Singapore in the final against Angelique Kerber and thus her biggest title - in retrospect, this success was her last tournament victory.
Cibulkova was also known for her fine noses. She liked sniffing new balls and was an absolute expert when it came to recognizing the appropriate ball mark only by the smell.
