Daniil Medvedev continues to live up to his role as favorite at the Erste Bank Open: The fourth in the world rankings prevailed against Jannik Sinner 6: 4 and 6: 2 in the quarterfinals and is therefore in the semifinals in Vienna. The 2020 US Open winner is still in the Austrian capital without losing a set.

After his convincing round of 16 success over Dominic Thiem, Medvedev seamlessly continued his strong performance of the previous day against Sinner. The 26-year-old took the serve from the South Tyrolean to make it 1-0 and managed to convert the lead into a set without any major problems.
