Do you remember? Before the third group game at the ATP Finals 2019, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic stood with their backs to the wall. Dominic Thiem had surprisingly won against the two major champs and had already qualified for the semi-finals, so before the match it was clear: whoever wins is further - whoever loses is out.

Federer finally won after an impressive performance with 6: 4 and 6: 3, taking his first win against the Djoker after five defeats in a row. Most recently, the two had played against each other in the Wimbledon final , in which Federer had not used two match balls at 8: 7 and 40:15 in the fifth set.

At the ATP Finals, however, Federer had a brilliant day, broke Djokovic early and played the match from the beginning. He bravely solved the only critical situation at 1: 2 and 30:40 in set two, shortly afterwards he made the break to decide. /

If you want to enjoy this match again, you now have the opportunity - from a completely different perspective. Because a tennis fan filmed the game from row 1 and edited it in a 25-minute version. This unusual perspective - which many fans also often want on TV - gives a wonderful insight into "real" professional tennis, contrary to the usual bird's eye view from which tennis matches are otherwise shown.

We only say: Pay attention to the pace, the position of the two on the baseline and how early they take the balls. Or the footwork ... And: How much space is usually between the ball and the net (more than you think "from above"). While the common club player usually thinks that real tennis is only quick and scarce over the net ... Have fun with it!
