Should the French Open take place this autumn, then not as a ghost event. The French Minister of Sport Roxana Maracineanu said on Saturday.

Ligue 1 has stopped playing by decree of the French Prime Minister, Paris St. Germain has been declared a champion. When it comes to football, there is a break in France, how and when the new season should start after the summer break is still in the stars. And will probably be based on the experience gained in football operations in other countries such as Germany or England.

However, two major events are still hoping for a fairly decent implementation in 2020: the Tour de France and the French Open. Both events have been postponed until autumn, and the largest tennis tournament on the European continent is scheduled to begin playing on the main field on September 27th.

If Rafael Nadal and Co. should actually serve from this date, then only with spectators at the Stade Roland Garros. Roxana Maracineanu, France's sports minister, committed to this on Saturday, according to media reports.

The Bois de Boulogne should actually have started on May 24th - with an innovation that has been the subject of lively discussion in recent years and has now finally been completed: the roof over the Philippe-Chatrier Court. If you really want to play until October, then this will probably be urgently needed.

The Tour de France will also be held with fans' access. A control or restriction of the many spectators at the edge of the route would be completely illusory anyway for the three-week bike tour.
