Djokovic beat Sweden's Mikael Ymer 6: 0, 6: 2 and 6: 3 and thus celebrated a tailor-made start.

Especially at the beginning, Djokovic was unstoppable, hit the ball cleanly and repeatedly sprinkled his now dreaded backhand stop. Ymer seemed nervous, moving poorly. In the course of the game he came into the match better.

Djokovic, however, was sovereign overall, also when exploiting his break chances - he used nine of eleven opportunities and beat 32 winners in the course of the game.

In the second round, the Djoker plays against Ricardas Berankis from Lithuania.

Djokovic had won the French Open 2016 for the only time, back then in the final against Andy Murray. This year he wants to win title number two and is next to Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem as the most promising candidate - especially under the rather slow, humid conditions.
