The largest clay court tournament in the world was originally scheduled to take place at Roland Garros from May 24 to June 7, but was postponed due to the corona pandemic. It should now take place from September 27 to October 11, after the start of the event was initially postponed to September 20.

And on the condition that spectators are also admitted to the events. The French Minister of Sport had spoken in this direction a few days ago. In addition to the French Open, the Tour de France had to be moved to an appointment later in 2020.

The future course of the tennis season 2020 will also depend on a possible event of the French Open: Should it really be possible to play at the Bois de Boulogne, it is not out of the question that some clay court tournaments such as Madrid, Rome, but also Hamburg in the weeks before or Kitzbühel can be tackled.
