French Open: Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies defend title in Paris

Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies successfully defended their title at the French Open and won a Grand Slam tournament for the second time. The tennis doubles from Coburg and Cologne defeated the US Open winners Mate Pavic / Bruno Soares (Croatia / Brazil) 6: 3, 7: 5 in the final in Paris on Saturday.

Last year, Krawietz and Mies had achieved a historic coup in Roland Garros, as the first German double in 82 years they had triumphed in Paris. The two are the fourth men's doubles in the history of professional tennis since 1968 to successfully defend its title at the French Open. For their second success, Krawietz / Mies collect almost 320,000 euros.
