Jan-Lennard Struff has experienced some ups and downs in the last few weeks. It all started with the Warsteiner's soaring at the two events in New York City for the restart of the ATP tour, where after strong performances against the industry leader Novak Djokovic, the last stop was. Most recently there was from world rankings 32. but to report a downward trend, at the two clay court events in Rome and Hamburg, Struff set an opening defeat.
But things should get better at the much more important tournament, the French Open. Germany's number two has to deal with a difficult opponent in the first round, and faces the American Frances Tiafoe. In the head-to-head, however, Tiafoe is 1-0 in front, winning the first duel between the two in Antwerp last year. Nevertheless, Struff is the favorite in the race, as he is a good 30 world rankings ahead of the American.
