French Open: Roger Federer after defeating Otte in round 3

Roger Federer won his match against Oscar Otte in three sets. The Cologne, however, showed good resistance. (The match to read in the live ticker!)

In the end it was not enough for the Lucky Loser: 6: 4, 6: 3, 6: 4 the old champion from Switzerland won.

Otte kept up well until 4: 4 in set one, Federer then broke to win the set. In run two, Federer also made the late break to 5: 3, Otte then had two break chances, but Federer refused. In set three everything was balanced until 4: 4, then Federer made the decisive break. After 1 hour and 36 minutes, Federer finally made it clear to Round 3.

"It was not easy, he plays quite unusual," Federer told Marion Bartoli after the match.

Federer now faces Casper Ruud, who won against Matteo Berrettini. Crazy: Father Christian Ruud was in the tableau of the French Open in 1999 - when Federer's first appearance in Roland Garros.
