In 2018, Michael Stich set standards - no longer as an active player on the ATP tour and not for the last time as head of an ATP tournament. But with his address on the occasion of his induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island. In his fantastic speech, Stich took everyone present and the audience on the TV screens on an emotional journey to the tennis circus. The bar is extremely high for all those who will answer the voters' call to the Hall of Fame.
There is no question that Roger Federer (probably the first due to age), Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will have to overcome this last career hurdle. The places for these three legends have long been reserved. But who still has a chance of late fame? We looked at a few other candidates besides Roger, Rafa and Nole.
