Long gone are the days when men received the outfits for the entire season from their equipment suppliers at the beginning of the tennis year. At the latest with every Grand Slam tournament, the majority of the ATP cracks change their shirt, pants and shoes. What is allowed is allowed. And only in the rarest of cases has a remarkable fashionable demeanor inevitably led to a Grand Slam title.
In any case, here are our suggestions for the best outfits of the tennis year 2020. And for those for which the inspiration of the designers could not convince us.
Why not white pants? Daniil Medvedev wears his Lacoste outfit undefeated into 2021
Grand Slam winner outfit 1: Novak Djokovic in the green and white Lacoste station wagon in Australia. Remarkable: The detailed color matching of the Asics shoes with the jersey.
Why not sleeveless? It didn't hurt Tennys Sandgren at the Australian Open.
For a sad occasion, the memory of the tragically deceased Kobe Bryant is also included in this section.
The entire ensemble can be marveled at and evaluated here: The wonderful Corona mat from Milos plus the tied headband from New Balance.
Grand Slam winner outfit 2: Dominic Thiem at the US Open all in Adidas.
Fabio Fognini didn't play too much tennis after his courageous appearance in Australia. But Emporio Armani has unpacked all the colors for Fabio.
Only real in the play of light and shadow: Diego Schwartzman in black and yellow and Fila
Grand Slam winner outfit 3: Rafa in unobtrusive signal colors from Nike in Roland Garros.
Well, the designers at Nike threw the white towel at an early stage: No dream in mud green. Andrey Rublev nevertheless carried it with dignity (and success).
Fashionably no screaming, but at least interesting in one respect: Nobody wore the pants tighter in 2020 than Rafa here his from Nike.
All eyes on the gentlemen on the right: Michael Venus also shows offensive demands on fashion. Thanks go to the Hydrogen company.
The only truth also in 2020: Nobody on the ATP tour looks better than Feli Lopez. Especially not when Feli puts on his hydrogen clothes.
Classic in blue: Matteo Berrettini can wear everything from Lotto
