For Thiem, the days ahead are tough again: next weekend the third place in the world rankings will enter Patrick Mouratoglou's Ultimate Tennis Showdown, followed by advertising in Austria. Next Thursday, June 25th, Thiem will play against his buddy Dennis Novak for the final of the Generali Austrian Pro Series. The winner of this game also wins Group A - and meets the winner of Group B in the final on Friday.

Novak had defeated Alexander Erler 6-0, 6-0 in the first match of the day, Sebastian Ofner was able to assert himself against Lenny Hampel in three sets.

During the Thiem match, the new ATP calendar was also presented: According to this, the tour starts on August 14 in Washington, at a tournament that is not to the taste of Thiem. The Cincinnati Masters 1000 event will then be held at the National Tennis Center in New York City, where the US Open will begin on August 31.

Thiem once in Kitzbühel

The Generali Open in Kitzbühel will follow on September 8, at which Dominic Thiem wanted to start as defending champion. However, the tournament at Kapsfeld falls in the second week of the US Open.
