The group games in group phase 2 are over, which has resulted in three groups for the placement games.
Group 1, places 1 to 4 are the group winners Dominic Thiem, David Pichler, Sebastian Ofner and Lukas Neumayer. Group 2, places 5 to 8, are group runners-up Dennis Novak, Alex Erler, Jürgen Melzer and Lenny Hampel. And group 3, places 9 to 12, are made by Jurij Rodionov, Philipp Oswald, Sandro Kopp and Max Neuchrist. However, Thiem and Melzer have withdrawn from the placement round. Instead of the tournament favorite, Lucas Miedler now plays, for Melzer Jonas Trinker steps in. Miedler smoothly defeated youngster Lukas Neumayer on Tuesday. Jonas Trinker advanced for Melzer. Moritz Thiem is back in business - instead of injured Jurij Rodionov
Due to the rain in the southern part of the city it was not possible to play on Wednesday. The games will be rescheduled this Thursday.
