If anyone be nominal money really plays out in the Generali Austrian Pro Series, then probably Sebastian Styria: On Monday, the Styrian provided with Dominic Thiem a courageous (and ultimately successful) three-set battle. And just over 24 hours later Ofner had to go the full distance again, this time against David Pichler. Ofner won early in set one with 7: 5, 4: 6 and 6: 4. And is in the lead in the group of the best players so far.
After yesterday's match, Thiem took a break as did Jürgen Melzer. The two most prominent participants of the event in the federal performance center in Südstadt will only open again in the final round.
Like Dennis Novak. Austria's number two, however, was beaten by Lenny Hampel 6: 4, 4: 6 and 4: 6. Lucas Miedler has returned to the field: the substitute for Dominic Thiem showed a mature performance, beating youngster Lukas Neumayer 6: 3 and 6: 1.
