Mira Antonitsch could also clearly win the second duel with Irina Dshandshgava

After two men's matches of the Final 8 tournament had already taken place in the morning, Mira Antonitsch and Irina Dhsandshgava opened the women's final phase in the Südstadt. The two had faced each other in the preliminary round a few days ago. A match that Antonitsch in particular should have fond memories of was able to handle Dshandshgava with 6: 0 and 6: 1. Even today, the 21-year-old did not show any nakedness, Antonitsch celebrated her first victory in the final phase with 6: 2 and 6: 1.

There was a similar constellation in the second and last women's match that day, although Julia Grabher had much bigger problems in her first duel with Sinja Kraus than Mira Antonitsch had with Irina Dshandshgava. While Julia Grabher still had to go over three sets in the group phase, she was able to put her superiority on paper in the second duel with Sinja Kraus much better on the pitch. With 6: 3 and 7: 5 Julia Grabher also got off to a good start.

The results of the day at a glance:

Start of the game Player 1 Player 2 Result
From 2 p.m. Mira Antonitsch Irina Dshandshgava 6: 2, 6: 1
fb Julia Grabher Sinja Kraus 6: 3, 7: 5
