Here is the match to read in the live ticker.

Full house in Kitzbühel also on Thursday of the quarter-finals. But this time there was no happy ending for the Thiem fans. Because Thiem lost to Yannick Hanfmann 4: 6, 6: 3 and 4: 6.

In the first set, Thiem initially had better chances as a setback, but Hanfmann managed the break in the seventh game. The first set went 6:3 to the 30-year-old German. Thiem struck right at the beginning of the second round. And didn't allow Hanfmann to make a comeback until 6:3.

In the decision, things got tricky for the first time in the fourth game, Thiem fended off a breakball with an ace to the outside. The next chance for Hanfmann came when the score was 4:3. Again Thiem parried with a strong service. As did the third a few moments later. The equalizer was frenetically celebrated by the audience.

Thiem doesn't come out of the break well

Thiem took the momentum with him and, with the rain getting heavier, now worked out two break opportunities for himself. Hanfmann kept his nerve and took the lead 5:4. Then the game had to be stopped. The game resumed a little over an hour later. And Thiem didn't just come out of the cabin. The Austrian fended off his opponent's first two match balls. On the third, a forehand sailed out.

The first semi-final on Friday (live from 11 a.m. on ServusTV) will be a purely Spanish affair: Roberto Bautista Agut, who was able to hold his own against the Czech youngster Jiri Lehecka in three tight sets on Thursday, will meet his compatriot Albert Ramos-Vinolas. He was in the final of Kitzbühel in 2019, which he then lost to Thiem.

In the last match of the day, 20-year-old Styrian Filip Misolic faces Serbian veteran Dusan Lajovic. For Misolic it's about getting into the semifinals of an ATP tournament for the first time.
