Generali Open 2022: Philipp Oswald without a tournament victory, but with self-confidence after Kitz

Philipp Oswald and Robin Haase lost the final of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Gstaad on Sunday. For the Generali Open in Kitzbühel you should still have the Austro-Dutch couple on your list.

4: 6 and 4: 6 - for Philipp Oswald and Robin Haase there was little to gain in the final of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Gstaad against Tomislav Brkic and Francisco Cabral. The two were only one win away from their second joint tournament success after Umag 2019. Which nourishes the hope for a successful tournament week at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel. However, there is already a meeting with Matwe Middelkoop and Rohan Bopanna in round one.

Oswald actually wanted to attack as a team with Middelkoop this season, but for various reasons nothing came of it. Instead, the interaction between the Dutchman and the veteran Bopanna works extremely well. But this pairing also suffered a final defeat on Sunday: in Hamburg against Lloyd Glasspool and Hari Heliovaara.

On Monday the doubles will start in Kitzbühel. The two Austrians Lukas Neumayer and Sebastian Ofner have to deal with the tournament favorites Tim Pütz and Michael Venus.
