Ramos-Vinolas, who lost to Dominic Thiem in the 2019 final, prevailed in the all-Spanish duel with Pedro Martinez 6: 4 and 6.2. However, the smooth result in the end does not reflect the course of the game. Especially in the first round, Ramos-Vinolas and Martinez fought a duel at eye level.

In the second quarter-final it looked like Jiri Lehecka would win for a long time. The young Czech won the first set against Roberto Bautista-Agut 6:4 and served to win the match when the score was 5:4 in the second act. But the veteran pulled himself together, not only won the second set 7:5, but also took the lead in the decision with a break. Lehecka came back, but lost his serve again in the twelfth game and thus the set 5:7.

The other two quarter-finals in Kitzbühel will take place with Austrian participation: First Dominic Thiem meets Yannick Hanfmann, then the 20-year-old Styrian Filip Misolic has to deal with Dusan Lajovic from Serbia.
