Generali Open: Award for Kitzbühel, 50 days to Dominic Thiem

In 50 days, Austria's tennis pride Dominic Thiem returns to home soil at the Generali Open Kitzbühel. The international tennis association awards its “Awards of Excellence” to tournaments that have excelled in certain categories. The Generali Open Kitzbühel was able to assert itself in the category “Best Fan Experience” in 2018. “It is a prize that our fans deserve in the first place. The atmosphere on the tournament site as well as in the city of Kitzbühel is excellent, ”says tournament director Alexander Antonitsch:“ Players thanked us for the fair fans and the sensational atmosphere. ”

"Our goal is to give fans an incomparable experience", tournament director Florian Zinnagl is also pleased about the ATP's confirmation of these efforts. “We tried to continuously expand our level of fan entertainment on many levels. And also for 2019 you have come up with a lot again: In order to offer tennis fans the opportunity to be there live on the Kitzbüheler Center Court from the first game of Dominic Thiem, Thiem's first round match should be the first night session to Prime -Time (from 7.30 p.m.): “We want to do everything we can to welcome Dominic with a full center court and a unique atmosphere on home soil. Fans who have to work on this day should also have the opportunity to come to the match in the evening, ”said the tournament director. Ticket sales for the entire tournament week are currently in full swing. For the final weekend, premium seats and VIP tickets are already sold out. With a new roof on the east side of the stadium, one of the greatest wishes and feedback from the public was taken into account this year, and additional shady spots were created on the center court. These tickets in category A, as well as the cheap B tickets, are still available for the first round match from Thiem.
