Generali Open Kitzbühel: Top favorite Casper Ruud moves into the final

After his two tournament victories in Bastad and Gstaad, Casper Ruud is only missing one win for the clay court hat trick: The Norwegian made it into the final at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel thanks to a two-set win over Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech and could claim the fourth title of the year on Saturday to back up.
In the semifinals, the world number 14 sat down. with 6: 3 and 7: 6 (7) against surprise man Rinderknech. Ruud was not deterred by a two-hour rain break in the middle of the first set. The 22-year-old had to fend off a set ball in the tie-break of the second section and shortly afterwards used his third match point.
In the final, Ruud meets Pedro Martinez. The Spaniard had asserted himself in the first semifinals of the day against the German Daniel Altmaier in three rounds .
