Generali Open: Ticket sales start on Monday!

With the announcement that the US Open can take place on schedule, the date for the Generali Open Kitzbühel, from September 7th to 13th, was confirmed. Kitzbühel is the first ATP tournament on European soil and heralds a short but all-round European clay court tour. Ticket sales start on Monday.

The 76th edition of the Generali Open will take place in the second week of the US Open, from September 7th to 13th. The qualification starts on Monday (September 7th), from Tuesday the main games will be played, the final will take place on Sunday (September 13th).

Kitzbühel is currently the only ATP 250 tournament on the calendar until October, heralding the first tournament on European soil and the first clay court tournament after the corona break to begin a top-class European tour. “We are happy that we have found a place on the calendar in these challenging times and that we can kick off this clay court season. Madrid, Rome and the French Open will be played after us, ”explains Alexander Antonitsch.

Two additional wild cards and late deadlines

And the tournament director of the Generali Open expects a strong field of players despite the schedule collision: “In addition to extra late deadlines, ATP grants us two additional wild cards. I am sure that some attractive names will open in Kitzbühel, after all the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid will start at a similar altitude immediately afterwards. The players want to play and of course also prepare themselves optimally for the clay court tournaments, ”said Antonitsch.

Ticket sales start on Monday, tickets from 22 euros

A first ticket contingent for the Generali Open can go on sale from Monday, August 3. The tickets are available from 22 euros in the online shop of the website www.generaliopen.com . As in the previous year, the games of the Generali Open can be seen live on Servus TV, the host broadcaster of the Kitzbühel tournament.
