While the tournaments in Bastad and Newport are events of the ATP-250 category, Hamburg is about 500 points in the world rankings. Of course, this is also reflected in the starting field at Rothenbaum, where the reigning French Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas is entering the tournament as the top seeded starter. Pablo Carenno Busta is number two in the Hanseatic city, Nikoloz Basilashvili is on three, Albert Ramos-Vinolas on four. Last year, Tsitsipas failed in the Hamburg final against Andrey Rublev.

From the perspective of the home side, the draw is full, with Maxi Marterer's successful qualification, five DTB players are in the main field. Namely Jan-Lennard Struff, Dominik Koepfer, Daniel Altmaier and Philipp Kohlschreiber. The all-German duel between Koepfer and Marterer is also about the chance to compete with the top seeded Tsitsipas.

Rodionov in Newport

Two other Germans are serving in Newport, Peter Gojowczyk and Cedrik-Marcel Stebe attacking grass there. Alexander Bublik is top seed in Newport, and service specialist Sam Querrey starts as number two. Gojowczyk and Stebe are facing German-speaking competition in the USA: The Austrian Jurij Rodionov is also returning to the ATP tour after an injury.

Last but not least, this week will also be played in Sweden, specifically in Bastad. In the 250cc clay court, the dedicated specialist on this surface, Casper Ruud from Norway, is number one in the race, followed by Cristian Garin and Fabio Fognini in two and three. Youngster Lorenzo Musetti is also trying his hand at grass again, the Italian entering the race as number six.

Here you come to the draw from Bastad, from Hamburg and from Newport!
