The numbers of those infected, treated and recovered were pleasing, said Kogler, who thanked the people in Austria for their cooperation. Of course, the need for sport is increasing due to the initial restrictions. "It's spring, the urge to go outside is increasing."

Individual sports are of course to be preferred over team sports or contact sports. Kogler specifically mentioned tennis courts here, in addition to athletics facilities, equestrian sports or archery. The professional associations should set out the exact requirements. /

Kogler thanks tennisnet publisher Alexander Antonitsch

In his press conference, Kogler specifically thanked tennisnet publisher Alex Antonitsch and referred to the survey by eTennis- and tennisnet and the ten points / commandments that should be observed when the professional associations submit the specific suggestions. In a survey by eTennis in cooperation with tennisnet.com , more than 800 clubs on tennis in Corona times had expressed their opinion , among others, marked balls, the waiver of page changes, disinfectant dispensers and online reservations.

Kogler had already announced in advance that it wanted to proceed according to the motto "restrictions as many as necessary, freedoms as many as possible".

Some had already hoped for approval for certain sports in the coming days. However, one must bear in mind that there are exit restrictions in Austria until April 29. In this respect, the release for tennis on May 1st is positive news for all tennis players in Austria.

The professional exercise of top athletes - in the training company - should be put into force as soon as possible, if possible by Monday, April 20.
