Boris Becker's former manager Ion Tiriac sees Alexander Zverev as a complete player. "Zverev has everything you need to win Grand Slams and become number one in the world," said the 82-year-old in an interview with Spox: "He's big, he has a strong serve - I have no idea why he's not number one or two in the world by now. "

Zverev should actually be there with his possibilities, added Tiriac. The best German tennis player will again fight for his first Grand Slam triumph at the French Open on Sunday. Zverev starts with a lot of self-confidence in Paris. In Acapulco / Mexico and at the Masters in Madrid he has already won two tournaments this year and also beat top players like Rafael Nadal. Most recently in Rome, Zverev failed in the quarter-finals against the Spanish grandmaster.

Last year, the 24-year-old made it to the round of 16 in Roland Garros. The draw for the 2021 edition will take place today, Thursday.
