In the Allianz Cloud of Milan Sinner was the better player from the beginning, de Minaur found over the entire match duration of just over an hour no recipe against the dominant blows of his opponent.

Sinner hit 16 unforced errors, but also 16 winners, while de Minaur produced seven direct hits with ten errors. Especially in the short rallies Sinner was clearly ahead (36:15). Sinner fended off all nine breakballs de Minaurs.

"I'm missing the words, I just wanted to hit the ball well, he's such a strong player, I wanted to avoid unnecessary mistakes," said Sinner, who started with a wild card after the match. "Probably playing the best tennis of my life, I am very happy."

Totally deserved, Sinner converted his first match ball after 66 minutes. For de Minaur it was the second final defeat in a row at the NextGen Finals. In the previous year he had failed in the final to Stefanos Tsitsipas.

"I want to congratulate Jannik for an incredible match," said a fair loser after the match. "I'm very happy with my season and now my full focus is on Madrid to successfully represent my country at the Davis Cup."

Sinner was also financially financially the most successful week of his career. With his balance of 4-1, he earned $ 372,000, previously he earned on the tour a total of only 274,470 US dollars.
