Saturday started quite relaxed for Thiem, opponent Damir Dzumhur had to give up shortly after the start due to an injury. In the night session, Thiem showed great comeback qualities against Dusan Lajovic and won after defense of three match balls. Dimitrov also successfully crossed the full distance against Lajovic, but surprisingly lost to substitute Nikola Milojevic afterwards.
